Our à la carte Restaurant

Cosy and just like one would imagine an „old parlour“, our à la carte restaurant invites you to dwell and linger. The tables have room for 50 people and we are happy to serve you an aperitif before dinner at the restaurant bar. This is the ideal room to breathe in the traditional spirit and history of our hotel. Innumerable stories have happened here.

Many experiences have been told and retold at the regulars´table. Our senior host, Alois Schwaiger, is an highly gifted hunter and one can well imagine that some twelve-pointer stags have been celebrated here with his companions. Traditions are still cherished in Our Unterberg today and we are, therefore, very happy with the variety of our guests – hunters, locals, travelers, relaxation seekers, athletes and simply those who enjoy excellent cuisine.

What is more wonderful than getting to know the culinary highlights of your holiday region. We want our guests to discover the Pinzgau and Austrian cuisine, not only our magnificent mountain world. Eat and drink your way through the weekly farmer's buffet and Austrian delicacies. Just so that it isn't too onesided, we change the buffet theme every evening or rather the choice of the 4-course menus. Creativity and variety are topmost for our kitchen team. We want to stir and inspire the taste buds of our guests.

Our Terrace

One wants to be outside when the weather is fine and our terrace is perfect for this. Whilst enjoying a delicious piece of cake, fruity icecream or a delicate strudel, one can enjoy the surrounding nature: hear the birds singing and the gentle flow of the „Urslau“ mountain stream, tank vitamin D and inhale die beautiful fresh mountain air. Whether Winter or Summer – nature shows its incomparably exquisite robe, every season of the year. You can, of course, simply enjoy the peace, read a good book and dive into a different world.

Festivities should be celebrated. We all agree on this. And they should be unforgettably beautiful. We are passionate about framing these special moments in life. Already engaged with planning and preparing for the big day, we assist in realizing all possible wishes. The many question marks soon disappear – our team's year long experience is a great advantage. Whether it is a small celebration, like a Baptism or First Communion, or a big event such as a wedding or company party – we always give you a hearty welcome.

Our cuisine

Regional, traditional, international – these words best describe our cuisine. We mainly use regional products from local farmers and create traditional Austrian, as well as international, dishes. We know that tastes differ and therefore are happy to follow our guest's wishes. By this we don't mean that we use unusual products, we create dishes with products which are normally used. More and more people are concious of healthy nutrition, some are vegetarian, some vegan and some simply have allergy problems. Our service and kitchen teams are wonderfully geared to each other. Our goal is always the same: the guest is king. Therefore, please don't be shy and do tell us your wishes. We will gladly take them to heart.

Our Chef

Our master chef passionately creates all sorts of dishes together with the help of his diligent team. Working harmoniously together they create menus, buffets and single dishes. The résumée hits the mark every time – the taste tells all. Our team understand how to implement our guests'wishes. They like it to speak directly to them so that they know exactly how to cater for them. Especially if they have allergies or intolerances to certain products. He knows how important nutrition is, „because a healthy gut is the key to a healthy body“.
